Below is one of four ponds on the Yardley Rescue property.  The roaming area for turtles and tortoises is ~1/3 of an acre.  This area is sealed completely to ensure we have no adventurous friends accidentally leaving and getting hurt by crossing a street.

In the winter, the species not indigenous to the area are brought inside for 'winter care.'  The rescue has a tremendously large basement with proper lighting and heat.  We also grow much of the fruits and vegetables for our animals - we grow from seeds in organic soil both in the summer and in the winter.
